A-Rob on the Move

Allen Robinson will not be a Jacksonville Jaguar come the 2018-19 season. The Jags have elected not to use the franchise tag on the wide out. This will make the receiver a unrestricted free agent. So the question now is where will he end up. Here are the current receiver needy teams.

Washington Redskins – After the failed free agent experiment that was Terrelle Pryor, the Skins are in need dire need of receivers on the outside. Maybe they are counting on Josh Doctson to become “the guy” and take a pass.

Dallas Cowboys – It is looking more and more like Dez will not be with Dallas next year. If this is the case the Cowboys will need a true number one WR to compliment Switzer/Beasley in the slot.

Chicago Bears – There is most likely nobody that was thrust into a worst situation last year than Mitchell Trubisky. There is simply nobody to throw to in Chicago unless you count Howard and Cohen. Look for the Bears to make a bid on Robinson.

Carolina Panthers – Carolina could use a deep threat like Robinson to pair with the big body of Devin Funchess.

Arizona Cardinals – With Larry in what is most likely to be his final season, Arizona needs to find an heir apparent and it just isn’t John Brown.

LA Rams – It doesn’t look like Sammy Watkins is sticking around. Robert Woods is better than we might have thought, and Cupp looks to be a good start NFL receiver, but neither really stands out.

SF 49ers – What Jimmy G did with no weapons was quite astonishing. Now, imagine giving him a WR like A-Rob. Yeah… Dangerous.

NY Jets – With the probability of Robby Anderson playing this season being low, NY could use somebody, heck anybody, to throw the ball to. Kearse is okay, but not a number 1.

Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens WR depth chart is reminiscent of Chicago and SF. Meaning there is very little true talent if any at all.

Tennessee Titans – Rishard Matthews is good and maybe Corey Davis could be a number 1 guy. But in my opinion, neither is even close to Robinson.

The fact is that whatever team Robinson lands on is getting a highly talented WR who I expect to make an immediate impact both for the team and fantasy players smart enough to not shy away from him in drafts.
